I have been looking at the Kindle for a while and I just got is as a birthday present last month. The display is very nice and it's almost like reading a paperback. I mostly use it to read pdfs that I have converted to .prcs; the pdf reader is good but it's a little taxing on the processor and the pdf viewing is not 100% yet. It either needs a bigger screen or specifically designed pdfs to fit it or a better resizing algorithm. In total I'm very happy with it as an ebook reader. I usually turn of the wireless to save battery power, I can squeeze out more then two weeks with it off.
