When I picked up The Lovely Bones I thought it an odd title but after reading the jacket cover I thought I would give it a try. I am glad I did. Alice Sebold tells a wonderful story with humor and agony. I found myself shedding a few tears along with a chuckle every now and then. I could not put this book down and finsihed in one day. I see great things ahead for Ms. Sebold based on this book. If you want to lose yourself in a story that shows the dark side of Earth as well as the hope of heaven then I would recommend this book.
